[PLAIN]Re: Re: [KoK] Monster list for upcoming book[/PLAIN] Nope, we didn't base our monsters on those in the ToH, and the wax golem is also different. It's just coincidence. With so many publishers simultaneously producing monsters in books, magazines and on the web, it's nearly impossible for anyone to avoid having some similar monsters. (For example, WotC's "Unapproachable East" book contains a monster with the same name as one you say appears in ToH. It's also one we were working on and had finished when our copy of UE came in this week. Since I'm not sure if UE has officially hit any store shelves yet, I won't say which monster.) As an official D&D licensee, we try to avoid duplicating any already printed WotC creatures simply to stop confusion. For example, our swordwraith appeared a couple years ago in a Kalamar module. But to avoid confusion with the newly-released Fiend Folio, our updated 3.5 swordwraith became the Skarrnid swordwraith. I also added a sidebar explaining to DMs how to use both or either in their campaigns. Since I've gotten some new info this week about recently released or upcoming WotC monsters, it's extremely likely that 3 or 4 more of our monsters will also see some name and text changes before the book goes to print within the next couple weeks. === Mark Plemmons Kenzer and Company www.kenzerco.com ===
