(KotS Spoilers) The Statue Room

the Jester

Legend
Hey guys!

Last night my Keep on the Shadowfell group saw them throw down in the statue room. And we screeched to a halt for a moment when I realized that half the pcs were potentially fairly useless.

What if your mage doesn't have a weapon in this room, and keeps failing Arcana checks to the point that the party rogue kicks him out of the skill test?

Most of his powers target creatures. Same with a lot of clericy stuff.

Is this just an oversight in wording, or is this intentional? Have I missed some discussion on this? (Prolly shoulda searched first...)

This was errata'd (I think, either that or FAQed). In the printed book, ONLY Force Orb and Disintegrate can target objects, and Fighters, say, have no powers that can target objects. Even basic attacks can only target creatures. The errata/FAQ/whatever amounted to: "it's too much work to fix, so powers can affect objects at the DM's discretion."

I'm fairly sure the actual book says that in at least one place, too.
