However, after a year of playtesting and building, they couldn't land the flavor right. Alan built a Savage Worlds ruleset for a one-off, to see how it'd work for a stretch goal, but lo and behold, it quickly became the most popular ruleset of choice among the playtesters!</em></p><p><em></em></p><p><em>Savage World's focus on fast, furious, fun, really aligns with Brian's writing and storytelling, and the ruleset was a natural fit! So we became an official Savage Worlds licensee!</em></p><p></p><p>When the author of a great, popular series is <em>also</em> a gamer, and when he gets involved in the RPG development of his world, you've got a genuine and excellent result in the making.
