Falen (continuing speaking w/ Vitus): "Your father was not Aulos? Apologies. No matter. Clearly, Avitus was the center of their attention. We should call on Lady Nazaria, and then, notwithstanding more urgent matters, we should explore the tunnels." He visits with Vitus to make him comfortable. Falen enjoys the boy's...correction...the young cleric's passion and willfulness. He gets to know Vitus, drawing out more about him. Falen authentically reciprocates in his own fashion, but he as with all of the others, he listens more than he speaks. Later he collects from the treasury what he needs, notwithstanding others’ requirements. He also makes it a point to thank Florrie, sharing that he very much enjoys these Dark Lanterns. He might find a home among these folk if he were released from Lord Max's retainer. He enjoyed moving around, however. Missions such as this...well...perhaps less complicated than this one allowed him to do so. "One more request, Florrie. Regardless of that outcome, during the late hours, he finds himself asleep again, wrapped in his cloak in a hammock near one of the larger firepits. He wakes at whatever time the others rouse him (hopefully in early morning before sunrise). He will study his spells again for good measure. And he genuinely hopes for a breakthrough.
