High Above Old City: Spritewing beats his wings as fast as he can and he is soon over the Park of Angels. It is easy for him to tell the difference between it and the nearby thicket next to the South Gate, which is quite scraggily. For the first time, from high above, the dungeonbred pegasus can see that this ward of Old City is very green. There is not only the Park of Angels and the South Gate Thicket but also the two thickets that run along the northern and eastern walls of the ward. As Spritewing dives down to land in the park, he can clearly see the deep tangle of gangly trees, harsh brush, and creeping vines of what the locals call the Jade Thicket. That is, supposedly, where the fey well is located. The walls next to the thicket are covered in vines and Spritewing can see that there are areas of the walls where the vines have recently been cut back. Workers on top of the walls wave to him as he wings past. The other thicket, called the Somber Green, seems to be less... wild. Is that the right word to use in a city like Bluffside? Of course, Old City stands apart from the other districts. All of Bluffside's districts are more like miniature cities or towns connected by winding roads and separated by deep crevasses in the earth. Spritewing tries to put it all out of his mind. He must find this 'Willow' person, and quickly. Hopefully, she can help. It doesn't take him long to spot her once he's down on the ground. She seems to holding court in the centre of the park with the birds and small animals as her subjects. She is definitely not a cleric. Her garments make her look more like a witch... a homeless witch. As Spritewing approaches the human woman, he can tell she is very old and very frail looking. She does seem to sense his arrival, so, at least, she's not blind. "Ooh, aren't you a pretty handsome sort," she says with a lilting voice in the Sylvan tongue. She stands and beckons Spritewing forward. The small animals part for him. Perhaps she is a druid? "Oh my," she exclaims when she sees Spritewing's many cuts and bruises from the battle in the labyrinth. "Who has hurt you?" she demands. "Tell me quickly, so I might give them a smack with my cane." She is on her feet quickly, with her gnarled wooden cane in her left hand and her long white hair flowing nearly to the ground, and she is soon investigating one of Spritewing's deeper wound. "Tsk... Tsk... This just won't do." She notes the dungeonbred pegasus's saddle. "Where is your rider? Did he do this to you?" She digs a shiny apple from one her pouches. The fruit almost seems to appear in her hand as if by magic. She holds out the apple to the dungeonbred pegasus and tells him to eat it. She senses wariness from Spritewing, and she gets a stern look on her face. "I would never poison one of your kind. Now! Eat! It!" The old woman stomps one foot on the ground and glares at Spritewing with almost a childlike pout on her face. OOC: Okay, @MetaVoid, imagine the old woman is an ancient version of certain Disney princess with long hair and a way with horses. But, no, she doesn't wield a frying pan, and her hair doesn't glow when she sings. But, you get the idea. For MetaVoid Only: [ISPOILER]The apple is actually a magical healing fruit equivalent to a potion of cure critical wounds at Caster Level 15.[/ISPOILER]
