The kobold hands another potion to Falen, hovering in the air nearby, and then moves to where Vitus is using detect magic to determine the auras on the unconscious Lithia. The young priest of Tyche begins to strip away the woman's magic items. Tuck sets a potion bottle down next to Vitus. "Healing potion," he says. "Drink it quickly. We're going to need you if things go badly down there."The kobold urban ranger transfers several other potions and useful items from his haversack to his belt pouches.Down below, Custodio ignores the taunts of the Loyalist vampire. He goes into his own haversack and pulls out a healing potion and drinks it down. The worst of his wounds heal. He takes out several pouches and ties them to his belt and then steps back out into the ladder room just as the last guard begins to climb up the ladder to the Guard House.He looks up to see that both Gattas and Tim have cleared the ladder. This leave him, Akos, Rockhorn, and the charmed Maggs left in the small room. He steps up behind Maggs to watch the wight and vampire standing beyond Rockhorn. He glances at Akos and holds his ground behind the charmed Loyalist woman.While the undead Loyalists near the double doors seem eager to attack, Kellam's will seems to be stronger. Or it is Phelix's will through Kellam that is keeping them from charging forward. Beyond the bulk of Eon-Scarred horror, you all hear the sounds of blades clashing and shouts of anger. This goes on for what feels likes minutes, but is only around 20 to 30 seconds. Then, the sounds die down. Either the creature the Loyalists were fighting has been killed or subdued. The sounds of armoured footfalls can be heard coming down the corridor.[ISPOILER]"I will tell you nothing of the glory of the Ticinum Empire, fiends!"[/ISPOILER] The voice of the unknown warrior shouts out in Ticin.Then, the Loyalist commander named Kefax and the male soldier who had dashed off to help him move past Phelix's Son with the warrior in hand. He is manacled and Kefax holds the man's weapon, an impressive looking longspear."So, this is the man you want? Who is he, hmm?" Kellam speaks with his own voice. [ISPOILER]"Who are you?"[/ISPOILER] He asks the man in Ticin.[ISPOILER]"I will not answer your questions, villain! Emperor Cappadox II will have your heads for this affront to the empire!"[/ISPOILER]"Cappadox II, very interesting..." Kellam's eyes gleam and he glares at the man. Then, he turns to look at both Rockhorn and Akos. "24 hours, heroes. If you really want him. No less.""And, I keep this trophy," Kefax insists as he holds up the man's spear. "It is not negotiable." The man's voice is calm and vile. He is both angry and determined. "And, you must return my Lieutenant to me, at once!" He points the spear towards Maggs next to Akos."And, my staff," the wight hisses."Bah! They can keep your paltry trinket," Kefax insists to the undead enchanter. "The Master will create you a better weapon.""And replace my stolen shield and mace," Khagron adds. "Assuming the half-ogre is too proud to return to them to me after his victory over my mortal form.""Do not antagonize them, beast," Kellam says in Phelix's voice. "You will stay where you stand and listen to me and pray that your... transition, is a permanent one. Understood?"Khagron shudders under the weight of the Renegade's words. "Y-yes, M-master..." The vampire grits out the words.Kellam steps out past Kefax with Vicardi in tow and speaks directly to Akos in Phelix's voice. "You may have the traitor and this Ticin man. Kellam's interest in him matters not to me. Whoever he is, he is from another time, and would never bow to my will. But, Kellam is right to ask for more time. You will give me an extra 6 hours for his life. Commander Kefax has claimed his weapon as spoils of war, and you all may keep the fallen guard, "Gattas", the psicrystal -- yes I know of it -- and anything else you've captured. It matters not to me. But, you will return Lady Maggs to me."Kellam pushes Viscardi forward and releases the man's arm. Viscardi runs forward towards Rockhorn. The wight and vampire step back from the double doors and lets the man pass. The vampire hisses at the ex-Loyalist as Viscardi rushes past into the ladder room and drops to his knees, exhausted."It seems our time together is at an end," Maggs says to Akos. She wishes to step away from him but will not until he order her to return to Kellam's side.Phelix speaks through Kellam again to the Ticin warrior. [ISPOILER]"Go! If you wish to live. Or, I will let the vampire eat you."[/ISPOILER]With an angry glance towards Kefax, Rhone steps forward, but Khagron blocks the man with one hand on the Ticin warrior's chest. The creature growls."Eighteen hours, heroes. Now, Loremaster, let go of her mind!" Phelix insists. "She will not attack you, but you will feel the wrath of her words."</blockquote>
