Hi, A couple of questions: 1) If you try to get your weapon, do you need to make a touch attack and does it cause a AoO? We played it as just a AoO. 2) A player brought up a good point about the DC 20 Strength check and that it should probably be some sort of opposed str check, even though its against the adhesive. The point being that your likely to pull the Kuo-Toa with you if you get a high Str but not high enough to reach DC20. For simplicity I went just we just a DC 20 Str check. The DC 20 str check makes more sense when the Kou-toa is dead and the PC is trying to pull their weapon off a shield so they can use it against other Kou-toans. Does anyone play the Adhesiveness differently? Probably starting to get to much into realism here, but say a large heavy weapon got stuck, would that make it harder to use the shield? And also chain reach weapons, to pull it out of somesone hand, the Kou-toa would have to either move to yank it out of the players hand or twist their shield to bring in the slack..just a thought :) Adhesive (Ex): Kuo-toas use their body oil and other materials to give their shields a finish almost like flypaper, holding fast any creatures or items touching them. Anyone who makes an unsuccessful melee attack against a kuo-toa must succeed on a DC 14 Reflex save or the attacker’s weapon sticks to the shield and is yanked out of the wielder’s grasp. Creatures using natural weapons are automatically grappled if they get stuck. Pulling a stuck weapon or limb from a shield requires a DC 20 Strength check. Cheers Z
