I think they did well to encapsulate the propaganda role in its USO vignettes, before having him disobey orders to "do the right thing". It was nice way to both honour the characters origins but also to break it by showing that he wasn't just propaganda fluff, it was his choice to be a hero and set him up for the frozen in ice for 70 years time jump.Winter Soldier is the best MCU movie because it took those same elements of heroic boy scout v cynical audience and put him in the middle of a corrupt system where he could shine as the heroic balance that the modern world needs.Thor I agree was a bit naff in Kenneth Branagh's hands, the first movie v the Destroyer Golem was mediocre and Dork World is forgettably boring.</blockquote>
