Last Chance on Parefid's Tomb ($2 adventure module)!

If you were a wizard, would you protect your hidden sanctum with riddle-traps that a ragtag crew of intrepid heroes could successfully bypass? If you were a villain, would you drop a matchbox from your favorite bar at the scene of a murder you'd committed? If you were a GM, would you want to run an adventure module that made that little sense?

If you've grown tired of adventures riddled with plot holes or disappointingly linear in their design, you may appreciate Parefid's Tomb, an Open Gaming License fantasy adventure module being funded through Kickstarter. It's a 40+ page adventure filled with novel monsters and designed for groups from 7th level (for large parties or horror campaigns) to 12th level (for small parties or those who like to play big damn heroes). Parefid's Tomb lies between the sandbox of a setting and the puzzle box of a dungeon crawl. A GM can extract the dungeon that comprises the center of the adventure module or place it in context, allowing the GM to frame the adventure as a detective story, a rescue mission, or any number of other plotlines afforded by the setting and the included NPCs.

One can pledge as little as $2 to earn a PDF copy of Parefid's Tomb, and there are additional incentives for those of you who choose to pledge more. The module has already been successfully funded, so you're guaranteed to receive a product. Once the funding period ends, Parefid's Tomb won't be immediately released: I plan to pitch it to several publishers, though if it doesn't find a home with them, I'll be making it available online. Every backer, however, will receive a copy as soon as it's complete, which should be within a few weeks after the funding period ends.
