Wait...You learned that word when you were six and that makes you cry for Americans? Is that some kind of vague threat? Are you going to use 20,000 leagues against us? ;) And what's with all the "dumbing down" accusations? Dumbing down for who? Gamers? You're kidding, right? We aren't universally smarter than everyone else, but we certainly don't have a shortage of obscure vocabulary. If I can handle dweomer, I think I can manage maelstrom OR stormwrack. The word "wrack" isn't even that obscure, at least I didn't think it was. Am I the only person who has used the term "wracked with pain?" As someone else pointed out, its very common during the creative process for things to go through one or more working titles before deciding on something final. The problem isn't one of dumbing down, its Wizards releasing information on books that are still being developed. So what if they change the name midstream? The only people that are even going to notice are ENWorlders anyway. Once the book is released, it all becomes fairly meaningless. Libris Mortis came out, and people complained that the latin was wrong. WoTC abandoned the psuedo latin with codex anethema, and people complained of "dumbing down." If I didn't know better, I'd say people just like to complain. And on the internet...why, its shameful! :p
