I think you mean mileage.)
Yes I did and there was supposed to be a "pole" too.

What the hell, I'll actually respond to the intent of the OP.

Warlords for me. My players tend to be striker-oriented, so I anticipate they'll happily trade cleric buffs for extra attacks and such.

You wanted to Pole us? Oh man... that reminds me of that one great thread...

Anyway, depends on the PCs and group. We're thinking of running a warlord and cleric in one group during a pre-4e game... soo... whichever one does better? XD

Okay I'll let the cat out of the bag...

Warlords are just Bards.

They called them Warlords instead of Captains so we'd be too busy fighting over their name to notice.

Oh, and almost nobody wants to play a Cleric anymore since they were the only madatory 3.X class (and a support one at that).

Now if you'd help me stuff this cat back into the bag I'd appreciate it :D

I’m not seeing how warlords are identical to bards. Leaders in general seem capable of buffing and healing, and in addition has their own respective area of expertise:

Clerics can strike enemies with a variety of radiant attacks, turn undead, and enact deity-specific powers.
Warlords can restrict or enhance movement and grant additional attacks to allies in different tactical situations.
Bards will presumably be able to pull off a number of charms, illusions, and/or other manipulative tidbits.

At least, that’s my guess of how they will be clearly distinguished. I see similarities between warlords and bards in that they both are leaders and fluff-wise work wonders by inspiring others to greatness, but that’s about it.
