Silver Moon here. I am still having log-on problems with my password, so am using my wife’s EN World account instead Module Modifications After six games the players are starting to get bored with meeting the vast number of NPC’s, and this is taking more game nights than I originally planned for. In hindsight, I’ve reached the conclusion that having 30 guest groups was too ambitious, so have decided to scale the total number back to 20. Thus far the party or their associates have met Groups B1, B2, B3, B7, B8, B9, B10, B14, B16, B18 and B29. Looking through the module I have decided that it is important to retain each of the other following guest groups: B4 – Eldamar City. The party have been told that General Teakas will be attending, plus it is important to have the Lawton character to lay some groundwork for future modules. Teakas’s father, the dwarven weapon collector, will also be a good bidder to retain. B11 – Brondani. Having this group, with the descendents of Llyr, is critical to the Silvanost/Mengale conflict over the Stone of Llyr (which the party has concluded will be the key item in the auction). B12 – Ladymist. This was a great reader contribution and the group counter-balances the Bronze Dragons (B29), plus I am looking forward to DM’ing the Satyrs. B15 – Miyako. I want to retain at least one group from the orient, due to a subplot with the NPC Hiroshi, although I have decided to combine Guest Group B24 in with these characters as one larger group. B17 – Draconor. Another good reader contribution, which also ties in directly to the Ring of Fortune auction item. B23 – Blackdirge. A great reader contribution!. The orc chieftain Hargash is too well developed to leave out. The presence of his orc army along should create some very interesting role playing opportunities. B25 – Wakefield. Another reader contribution, which ties directly into the Puzzle Box auction item. B26 – (Egyptian name – still to be determined). The Set worshippers. Can’t leave these guys out, especially since the item that will refuse to leave without has been stolen. B28 – Highforge – I want to keep at least one of the three planned dwarf groups, and this one looks to be the most interesting. This also ties in with both dwarven weapon magic items. That means the groups I am now planning to drop are B5, B6, B13, B19, B21, B22, B27 and B30. Some of the subplots that were planned with these I will transfer to other guest groups. I still haven’t decided about the inclusion Group B20, the Black Mark Pirates. I will probably keep them in reserve, to throw in as a wild card if needed.
