Left over Questions from Eberron Q&A

BrooklynKnight

First Post
The following were left in Que during the IRC Eberron Chat.

Keith will try to get to these questions when he can.

<Takasi> Will you do a supplement for the D&D MMORPG on Xen'drik?

<Staffan> Are you planning to have future sourcebooks move the timeline forward (like Forgotten Realms), or keep the timeline more-or-less frozen and just provide more detail on the past and present (like White Wolf's Exalted)?

<JDigital> I was also wondering. Many fiends have teleport, right? What's stopping a band of Vrocks from the Demon Wastes from simply zipping into a small town and levelling it in seconds?

<Takasi> Will we ever see details on Heirs of Khyber, inhabitants of Siberys and details on celestial bodies (moons, etc)?

<ascendance> Also, any advice for novel search participants? Are you looking for gritty, or are you looking for somehting more middle of the road?

<ascendance> What sort of plans are there for electronic support, for example through e-tools?

<Friadoc> Are there any plans for a more detail map of Eberron, IE: the four-part Forgotten Realms one?

<GreenTea> question: Do you guys ever have dreams about eberron?

<Neko_Ali> Other than what's been mention in the book, what other ways do you see magic in common use in Eberron to make people's lives easier and better?

Thank you Keith, and Bill, and Chris!

Unfortunately, many of these questions are really for Chris and Bill -- I can't tell you what plans for future releases are, because I don't know. But to answer what I can...

I wouldn't expect to see a suppliment specifically on the MMORPG. However, a Xen'drik sourcebook should take the features of the MMORPG into account, and vice versa. If there is something unique that doesn't get covered, I'd look to Silicon Sorcery in Dragon.

Because vrocks are generally found in Shavarrath. The inhabitants of the Demon Wastes are primarily native outsiders -- rakshasa and new creatures. You may find the occasional outsider fiend who's been banished from the outer planes, but this may have caused him to lose some of his powers. Some people also believe that there is magic in the Labyrinth that prevents fiends from simply teleporting through it or flying over it.

I'd certainly expect so, at some point.

Not yet, actually.

Hmm. This is actually a fairly broad question, and my time is unfortunately limited. I will try to address this in a future Dragonshards article on the WotC website.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the chat!
