So, I am kicking around an idea about a campaign. The players get to pick a hero based on an archtype that they want to play, and I give them the character sheet already filled out. Name, class, everything. They start the adventure as a group of people lying on beds in a medical facility with no memory of their lives, no clothes and no distinguishing marks. They begin searching the area, trying to figure out who they are and where they are at, when they match up their initials on their medical bracelets with lockers containing clothes, weapons, etc. Depending on the class they take, they could have jedi robes, an army uniform, a pilot outfit, Mandalorian armor, naval uniform, etc. As they investigate the ship, they find that it is heavily damaged and that they have to evacuate. Clues lead them around the outer rim, and eventually they find their way to Bastion, and find out their purpose. They slowly begin to realize that they are part of a joint GA and Empire-in-Exile plan to defeat the Sith Empire. What they eventually find out is that they are clones of legendary figures throughout the Republic, Empire and GA. One may be a clone of Anakin, Luke, Boba, Han, Thrawn, Palleon, Obi-Wan, Leia, Corran, Wedge, Akbar, etc depending on the archtype taken. They were going to be given fake memories based on the exploits (romanticized, of course) of their DNA ancestors, not mentioning the tragedies that were caused in some cases, hoping that they could use their legendary talents to help destroy the Sith once and for all. The problem is, they were only partially through the flash learning process when the ship was attacked, and they start out as first level characters with stats downgraded based on their lack of levels (I am going to take their book stats and backwards engineer them). Furthermore, with no personality programmed, they could end up drastically different from their ancestors: Obi-Wan could turn to the darkside, Wedge could turn on the Alliance, and Anakin could become a pacifist. All of that would be handled in character. The Jedi could become Imperial Knights or they might end up at the Hidden Temple to begin their training properly. In fact, there is no guarantee that they would have similar names as their ancestors. Some assumptions: Obi-Wan and Anakin would have their genetic material known by the Empire due to their involvement in Outbound Flight. Luke's hand was recovered by the Empire and he served with the Aliiance, so his genetic material would be known, along with the other Alliance and Imperial members. The easiest genetic material to obtain would be Boba Fett's. What do you think?
