Yes, we know a <strong>dimetrodon </strong>isn’t <em>technically </em>a dinosaur, being a Permian-era synapsid that existed 60 million years before the first dinosaurs, and the <strong>muhuru </strong>on the cover is a mythological monster from the legends of Kenya that is described very similarly, even though the first dimetrodon fossils found outside North America weren’t discovered until 2001 and that was in <strong><em>Germany</em></strong>, and there are actually <em>like TWENTY kinds of dimetrodon </em>and they were actually considered mammal-like reptiles because of their teeth and they were probably warm-blooded and… this probably sounds like your nephew breathlessly talking about their favorite dinosaurs and yes that was me in the 70s and no I don’t care that dimetrodon wasn’t really a dinosaur, because just like Pluto is always a planet to me, this guy will always have a home in my personal dinosaur land!
