ooc: So many threads have gone, and so much has taken place while I was away, that I have decided to complete this in one thread. I hope you enjoy the story. If any of the participants described below wish to respond and I have already moved on, please email me and I will edit my posts to add in your words. Note that I am backing up a bit because I believe that several people missed my posts in their Dojo threads on the old boards (had to rewrite them, since I those boards are still unavailable!!) First, a bit of a background, so newbies will sort of know what this is all about: Once upon a time there was a Land of Battle, where warriors of Honor and Light fought black-hearted Villains and strove to reach perfect wisdom through strength and skill. One such warrior was a young woman named Lady Tsin, who rose to become the highest ranked of all Honored warriors. She was known as the White Lady, and the White Spider, for her supreme mastery of that style. She was the first Grandmistress of all Dojos, and her wisdom, kindness, and strength were renowned throughout the land. She took as her special charge the untried warriors, the White belts, and wither her consort and lover the Great Nikodemus she worked for the protection of all. Indeed, the very Heavens recognized her goodness, and during the time of Relics they chose her to bear the Gem of Heaven?s Honor. The white gem, embedded in the living flesh of the Lady?s forehead, had the power to remove dishonor and disgrace from the record of any warrior. During the final days of the time of Peace, Lady Tsin began to have disturbing dreams. She was called by the most Ancient of Ancient Masters, told that her time to depart the land was drawing near. Although it pained her heart, she knew the Wisdom of the Ancient ones could not be gainsaid, and so she prepared. Her dreams whispered to her how it would be done, and she was pleased that something of her love for this land would remain once she was gone. She began to craft small items in secret. The Grandmistress of Dojos also held a grand Tournament of Honor, in order to bestow her few items of power upon those most worthy of them. The Most Ancient Ones took a hand in this as well, and for three days the noble warriors of the land strove against each other for the glory of Honor. At the last, Jackal of the Thunder and MidKnight of the Steele Dagger were named the winners, and MidKnight became a new Dojo Grandmaster and was named "the One" by the Most Ancient Ancestors before they departed the tournament grounds. Once the Tournament was over, Lady Tsin set out into the land with a satchel of leather.
