Lego to release dwarves, orcs and ogre

There's a distinct possibility that Lego will be bringing out a set, No.7036, that will include dwarves, orcs and an ogre. I can't say that it's a certainty but a mock-up of the set has appeared in Lego promotional material in a couple of languages. Here's a link.

Usually, these kinds of hints by Lego turn out to have an element of truth to them. In the past, when similar types of images have appeared, the final sets have been fairly close to those presaged but with fewer new parts.

A very interesting prospect, my 5 year old will love these!! They are semi-posable as compared to his D&D minis i buy him.

FYI Lego have done a whole bunch of creatures over the years that also appear in D&D, e.g. vampires, ghosts, mummies, earth elementals, animated scarecrows, flesh golems, griffins and yetis. Their current ranges include skeletons, death knights, dragons and various sea monsters. :)

The one thing that makes me jealous that I'm not growing up today is Legos. They were just rolling out the castle sets when I was a kid, but the stuff today they have is just amazing.

I wasn't aware they still made those type of Legos. I thought all the cool sets were made years ago.

Yeah, but unfortunately it's hard to get a hold of the figs without spending many, may dollars on large playsets... :\
