Yeah, I've noticed that 'LEGOs' is an American dialect thing. I lived in Europe, I met the makers, I've seen Legoland, I know it's wrong...but I still say 'LEGOs'... And probably will 'til I croak. :)
I don't say "Legos" but I do knowingly mispronounce "Lego". Like most native English speakers, I pronounce it lego but it's supposed to be laygo. My sister's boyfriend is Danish and used to work for the Lego Company. Not surprisingly, he pronounces it correctly.

Again, not so! :p Check out BrickLink, a great site that allows you to buy (and sell) individual Lego parts, mostly for modest prices. I've used BrickLink quite a lot and have only had good experiences with the sellers there.

Hope that helps. ;)

I dunno if BrickLink is ran by Lego themselves, but if it's not, there's another option: buy direct. I believe Lego also has a program you can download that can hook into their servers and allow you to buy the exact combo of parts you want out of a large range and for a pretty low price. It's also got a design function, so you can design the model, then print it. I've heard it's a great way to get bricks you want for a large model, and supposedly Lego is pretty good about updating the program to include new bricks that are coming into production.

Cheers!
