If his 'Mr. Hyde side' were to be dormant for a  while until he gains a level in summoner (Synthesist). The effect would  be like he drinks a potion he created-but there was an error in the creation of it. He changed as he wanted, but lost his mind. He tore up the lab, in the form of some sort of bestial creature of mixed content, then changed back. He has not recreated the potion for a while, but the feeling of the power of that creature was-addictive-leaving a longing within him.In time he succumbs to the longing and changes into the creature again, having the potion formula memorized and the reagents always on hand. He is looking to get away form the academy so he can keep from being found out.In game terms, he starts off as an alchemist - beastmorpher Arch type with levels in summoner Synthesist archetype. Mr Hyde would be the eidalon. the mental  stats would be the beast morpher stats due to the debilitating effect of  the original concoction.
