Well seeing as how these other folk are posting their PC stories about how the PC's live and save the day. I might as well post my Story Hour here and show y'all how a real Evil Bastard DM (tm), pc killing DM, can be.


I have converted several modules from 1E to 3E and am running them in tandem with each other. I can't tell you what modules they are as my PC's are very very crafty and smart. But if you insist on knowing what they are and what I have done, just PM me, those with less than 10 posts I can't tell till I see my PC's post on here, IF they post on here at all, so i can keep it hush hush. it

But I can tell you this: The PC's were starting off first level in Bluffside by THG and have explored the surrounding area and have progressed rather quickly (2 pc's have leveled once per session for the last 2 session, give them 10 -12 Encounters and you would advance too!).

As my session involve, and actively encourage roleplaying (thank Old One for that tip on voting for the best PC roleplayer!) , they will be long posts with lots of how the PC's are thinking and acting dished out as well as graphical combat (Fear the Purple D20!).

Session One

Session One (Teaser)

Welcome Readers to a story hour that is full of mayhem, menace, and mirth! My world is a blend of many other campaign settings, modules from 1st Edition, and online tidbits all thrown into the proverbial blender of imagination with a touch of Evil Bastard DM (trademark pending) spices to make it all the much more thrilling. Currently we have 5 fool…I mean valiant Heroes that make up the party of The Seekers (they named themselves not me, the only thing I think they seek is gold, death, and a willingness NOT to die, but I get ahead of myself):

The story begins simple enough in the metropolis of Bluffside. Don’t know about Bluffside faithful reader? Let me tell you a bit about it. Bluffside is a place where adamantine is king, it flows from the mountains to the smeltering pits, guarded by men more ruthless and cunning, but ever loyal to the job than any solider you have seen before. The flow of the silver metal dips down into the valley below the bluff into the ocean and exits out into the sea, to ports unknown where the gold that buys it flows back into the coffers of the controlling circle of rules. Bluffside is not a kingdom, nor an empire, it’s a city that is built upon the ruins of a decimated and untapped ruined civilization and the mines, the city, and all the populace surround this vast ruin. What lies within are left up to the wary spelunkers and those with hearts steeled for danger and minds bent upon riches far beyond what a simple farmer or worker can make. Travel by day within them is recommended for not even the soldiers will go in it at night. That my readers is a taste of what Bluffside is about, adventure, mystery, things to see, places to go, and a city that is clouded in mystery. It is reminiscent of the old days of Greyhawk and Lahnkmar. That is where our tale begins…

There a goods merchant is having a slight problem. Seems as if his regular merchant guards were hired a day before hand to guard a shipment elsewhere and he needs help ASAP. He turns toward the Adventures guild and they say, “Of course we can help, for a price..” What’s a poor merchant to do when his goods need to be moved quickly and without delay! So 3 simple people whom put their names up for jobs were called in.

The merchant says bluntly “Your job is to guard this chest till it reaches the town of Thurmaster. Do not open for it is magically trapped and the person on the other end knows the exact contents of what is inside. For you discression you will be paid 10gp to guard it while on a caravan through Milbourne and then onto Thurmaster. Do you agree?”

The Large, lightly green skinned warrior looks at his 2 companions and they stare at him. They all know each other from past dealings put never thought they would be working together on the same job. The dwarf nods his head as well as the red headed lass.

The union representative gives them the contract, tells them “Make your mark here, here, and here. Keep this till you reach the town of Thurmaster and you will be paid there”.

They scribble their name, even the huge brute grabs the pen and elegantly scribes his name along with the rune of the dwarven priest, looks might be deceiving here. With the contract signed he instructs them to get a good nights rest and they head out at dawn for the town of Milbourne. The newly hired guards leave the guild and make their way back to what they call homes. There they each prepare for the days ahead.



What shall they find? What shall become of them? What does the road ahead lead to? What dangers could possibly happen on a simple caravan route??

update is on sunday when we play. I have to get the data from the bard and she is 50 mi south, pregnant, and not going to type it up as she has her family history to work on..sigh..women...i will get the jist of what she has and post it here. The first game day was in bluffside and then moved to 2 small cities. 1 called haranshire and the second called thurmaster. There they met up with a wizard, a ranger, and a werebear oh my! Stay tuned as I am writing the first of 4 sessions as we speak!

I'm waiting with baited breath (which means I should probably brush my teeth!).

Where in Florida? We played last night... had one couple travel 90 minutes from Melbourne to get here, and another travel 90 minutes from Palatka.

we play in venice florida that's probably too far south of melbourne.

Session one is done. I have to work out session 2 and plan to post each in sucsession (how many session can i put in one paragraph!). I am off to DM for session 5 right now. The Ruins of bluffside await!

session 6 was a slaughterfest..it shows what you can do if you have good tactics and are prepared and what happens when you charge into an unknown situation. I can go on but I will elaborate when the time comes! Revamping session 1!

what end of the slaughterhouse were you on? hehe..session one is up (a teaser of it I am working with the history on the bard, she knows much more than i thought!) and working on completint it and session 2-6 now!
