The Academy is lead by Lord Degaunt who is a major adherent to the more rational philosphy of the “Way of Divine Reality” which teach that reason, learning and proper human conduct is the true manifestation of Divinity and more important than “worshipping ghosts and old superstitions”.Lord Degaunt is considering laws to outlaw the Shaman Superstitions which many fear may lead to an inquistion.3 There is also growing influence from the Chomuvalon Empire whose state religion teaches that only the Sun god Chom-Ashpar has true divinity and all others are mere aspects of His divine creation. A number of converts have denounced both the old faith of the Shaman and the misguided ”Way of Divine Reality” forming hidden communes who are influenced by a prophet known as the Malek Deva.
