....Witchcraft is the expression of a malign power in a person's body. Especially, what is labeled witchcraft is often seen as a consuming force. The witch eats the life power of the victim.
....Sorcery is the use of a magical craft or knowledge to harm or benefit others.

This insight brought to you by my 666 class: THE OCCULT EXPERIENCe.

.......I have yet to see a d20 class that represents magical power as being a malign force that consumes you and your victim. I think I have to go make one now....

Yea, what Geekus said. Given the number of folks who self-apply the label of witch, and probably read these boards, I guess it won't be long before we find out the truth of your definitions. Let us know Kamikaze Midget (appropriately named), and thanks for submitting yourself to experimentation in the name of roleplaying. A detailed description of how it feels to have your life power consumed would help us all with our roleplaying. Thanks for taking one for the team!

One could argue that your definitions of witch and sorcerer and not universal, but I suspect I'd understand better if I understood this:

Are there 666 character classes in your game? What did you mean?

Who would play that class!? Have you seen the threads on which feat is the best? There are people out there that don't even want to pay an XP cost to create magic items. Who in the world would want their Tenser's Floating Disc to consume them?

Well, I'm not sure I agree with your definitions, but I do agree that I can't recall a class resembling a malign force as a force within the caster. That's an interesting concept.

And no, I'm not sure Defiler (Dark Sun) is it, since they pull magic from an external force, and drain the land.

The closest might be something from Blight Magic.
