As a long time gamer myself, I was always encouraged and impressed when I saw a D&D group form in the prison. The elaborate spinners I have seen were, to me, fascinating. One in particular incorporated all the dice from the D4 to the D20 on one spinner!I recall talking to one of these D&D groups one day. They had been playing the same campaign for over a year with very long breaks because, occasionally, one of the members of the party would get moved to a different pod or different building and they would wait until they were all together again and pick up the campaign.I have to agree that games like D&D are a great creative outlet in an otherwise oppressive atmosphere.
