They decided that teleporting straight to the portal would be a good bet, although it would mean casting a bunch of spells to improve their swimming abilities, since that had been an issue last time they fought it down there. Instead of the familiar grey mists of the ethereal plane, he had a momentary experience of a realm that was a fleshy parody of the world around him that tore at his sanity. He popped back through the portal and told the others to come through. They wracked their brains to see if anyone had heard anything about this, but the only hint they got was recalling the tale that that extinguishing the sun or changing it to be more comfortable to their eyes was one of the biggest illithid pipe dreams, a puzzle even their prodigious brains had never been able to crack. But what if they had, wherever this was? That leaves them room to speculate and plan for a full two weeks, since unfortunately I'm busy next Sunday. [QUOTE="(un)reason, post: 9746246, member: 27780"] 5 players present. They all continued to lay into Xhagevoxhab. On its turn, it let go of the wall it was clinging to and fell into the chasm, screaming obscenities in an unknown tongue as it went. Being genre-savvy enough to know that is far less certain death than you would think, the flying members of the party headed downwards as well.
