They also went all the way back to statue 23 and found that it contained a plughole in the mouth, making it the intended solution to the flooding from area 22 that they had also solved by more unorthodox means. (increasing the players amusement at just how much their run through this dungeon obviously hadn't been what the writer intended) The priestess hung around there while the binder decided to finally take a nap. (after all, she hadn't got to sleep last night) The githyanki & sniper headed down to the cells, where they once again had to deal with a reformed Ulzaada. Knowing she had no chance of winning in a direct fight with them, she once again used fog cloud to cover the area and tumble past them, pickpocketing her keys back along the way. They gave pursuit, with the githyanki summoning an air mephit to blow the fog away and the sniper trying once again to free her from her bindings with Disobedience, but she made her saves each time. She ran past the priestess, who also tried to hit her with her strongest healing spell, but this whiffed against her SR, and Ulzaada changed shape into a small snaky form and disappeared into the plughole. They considered sending the binder down there in ooze form to hunt her, but having seen how many different water features there are over the course of the dungeon, it would obviously be even more of a maze down there. In the end they decided they'd already got most of the stuff here and she was trapped in here so it's not as if she could become a recurring adversary, so they'd lose nothing by leaving her behind to fix the place up again the best she could for any future visitors. They took another long rest (making sure someone was always guarding) and got busy identifying all the items. This allowed them to figure out how to drive the mudship, giving them an easy way to get out without engaging in wholesale disintegration of the walls. They still cut a channel between rooms 2 & 34 though, and rang the bell they'd ignored first time around for good measure, but that didn't get them any extra treasure. Looks like this adventure is finally concluded, having been the longest single adventure they've done so far. (partly due to all the christmas disruption, admittedly) Next time: TO THE MOON!!!!

[QUOTE="(un)reason, post: 9855308, member: 27780"] The regular 4 were all punctually present. It only took another couple of rounds to finish off the elephant-headed guardian, then they could turn their attention to the sarcophagus in the centre of the room. Thanks to the githyanki's X-ray vision, they managed to spot that this coffin had not just one hidden layer, but three of them without too much trouble, although they missed the Wail of the Banshee trap on the deepest compartment and the sniper had to spend some xp giving a reroll to make sure everyone survived. Nevertheless, they managed to get hold of the big haul in there, so they're coming out of this adventure with a decent amount of cash even if they didn't get everything in every room. They then turned their attention to the 12 urns around the side walls. With detect magic up, they could easily sort the 5 that had magical contents (or traps) from the 7 that didn't and focus on them first. Some of them got opened cleanly, some of them got smashed along the way, but they got through them without any real harm, and found that the golden chain they were looking for was stored inside the snake one. (which had obviously been opened and then resealed a lot more recently than the other 11 when examined) Having sorted that out, the sniper jumped on the binder's back and they climbed up to investigate the banner.
