Some ideas OTTOMH. Divine Metamagic/Persistent Spell melee cleric. Maybe even a dwarf runesmith (RoS) mystic theurge. Polymorph wizard or sorcerer. Could end up stepping on the duskblade's turf and most people seem to dislike polymorph. I've also wanted to try a monk/sorcerer sacred exorcist with divine might. Fire themed sorcerer - all blasting, all the time. On my "to play" list. War weaver from Heroes of Battle. Focused specialist (CMag) transmuter. Keeps the melee guys happy. Can be very powerful. (Treat the rest of the party as your henchmen and cheer every time your buffs help them deal damage. :) ) Archer. Cleric archer adds some healing to the party. Rangery archer can be very powerful with deepwood sniper (MotW), peerless archer (SilvMarch) and/or even Justice of Weald and Woe (ChampRuin). Dwarf Fighter/PsyWar. Load up on armor feats. Tank. Monster races: Maug (FF). I've convinced a player in my RHoD game to play one to make up for me never being able to play one myself. :) High AC, reach weapon. Maybe go for war hulk (MinH). Clobberin' time. Pixie. Good archers, but can also be nasty meleers with the right feats and classes. I like pixies. Petal (MM3). Tiny fey. +2 LA, but many options due to ability score bonuses. Ninja maybe? My last char of around level 12 was a barbarian/fighter/monk/kensai half-ogre. Worked well. If you like any of these ideas I can elaborate. (How do you determine ability scores?)
