My sympathy is more limited.  Why should the wizard be expected to be a healer?  That's not what they player signed up for (at at 1st level, a wizard already is fairly worthless) and it's not even clear it's the best for the party overall.  The clerics should consider healing the warforged a lower priority.  Do you throw the d8+1 on the barbarian at 4 of 14 or the duskblade at 3 of 12?  Assuming you round down, you are looking at 2.5 points of healing for the duskblade and 5.5 for the barbarian.   I realize it sucks to be the warforged in this case, but why should anyone else take a big hit (1/2 or 1/3 of their spells/day) to heal you?  I strongly suspect this will change around 3rd level when a wizard can blow a less-important 1st level spell.  Also, can a warforged benefit from fast healing?  I'm not seeing why it would be halved (I suspect I'm missing something).  If so, vigor is looking pretty good.</blockquote>
