Lieber's Fafrd & Grey Mouser: Is there a collection?

The origin stories were poor. Fafhrd just isn't Fafhrd without the Grey Mouser, and vice versa.

Cruise the used bookstores. I just need to find "Swords and Ice Magic" to complete my collection :)

I recently tried to re-read the first book in my Lieber collection, Swords and Deviltry, and I put it down before finishing the first story, "The Ice Women," a sort of "origin story" for Fafhrd.
Okay, Swords and Deviltry exists for one reason: "Ill Met In Lankhmar". The first two stories were never favourites of mine but that story is one of the great fantasy adventures of all time. Revenge, horror, drunkeness, swordplay -- it's awesome. Skip the first two if you like, but don't miss that one.

Jester47s short suggested reading list for Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar's series-

There are currently two versions available:

Fantasy Masterworks
SciFi Book Club

What I consider the definitive version, White Wolf's series, is sadly out of print. Someone has been slowly reprinting the books at paperbacks and these are sort of based on the White Wolf editions. Still, any version will get you the same stories.

Here are the ones that I think make for the best reading for knowing who the characters are (I am working on Swords and Ice Magic and just got to Under the Thumbs of the Gods.

Ill Met In Lankhmar
Thieves House
The Circle Curse
The Jewels in the Forest
Claws From the Night
The Price of Pain Ease
Bazaar of the Bizzare
The Cloud of Hate
Lean Times in Lankhmar
The Witches Tent
The Two Best Thieves in Lankhmar
The Swords of Lankhmar

The Saddness of the Executioner
Beauty and the Beasts
Trapped in Shadowland

This thread got me reading the stories again. I've got the entire White Wolf series. I'm starting from the beginning, even relishing the sub-par stories.

Incidently, reading these stories again makes me think they'd make a good TV series. Who would play Fafhrd and Mouser if you were casting?

I am of the opinion that Johnny Depp could do a really good mouser.

I have always thought that Rolf Meuller would be a better Fafhrd than he is a conan. He has an accent, but its not out of control like some others we have seen running California...

Though Fafhrd might need someone a little more animated. You would be looking for a big actor who is good at being animated and big at the same time.

John Rhys Davies does come to mind. He is very tall and very animated.
