Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes
It's a duck-blur
Might solve a mystery
Or rewrite history

CHORUS:
DuckTales (oooh ooooh)
Every day they're out there making
DuckTales (oooh ooooh)
Tales of daring do bad and good
LuckTales (oooh ooooh)

When it seems they're heading for the
Final curtain
Cool deduction never fails
That's for certain
The worst of messes
Become successes

CHORUS

D-D-D-Danger! Watch behind you
There's a stranger out to find you
What to do? Just grab on to some DuckTales

CHORUS

D-D-D-Danger! Watch behind you
There's a stranger out to find you
What to do? Just grab on to some ...

CHORUS (Twice)

Not pony tales or cotton tales, no
DuckTales (ooh ooooh)

Good enough show, Disney actually had some potential back then. Alladin [Movie One & the series] was pretty good. Gargoyles was awsome until later on, when the show and disney material in general started it's nose dive. Sequel-itis is rotting them to death.

One of the things I really liked about "Duck Tales" and "Danger Duck" (or whatever that one was called), was how Disney was creating its own self-contained little universe, and one that pretty much could be reconciled with a lot of the earlier Disney cartoons.

Then, for some reason, starting with "Rescue Rangers" they stopped. Chip and Dale were suddenly in a human world, and not the world of Duckburg. Aside from ruining any possible crossover stories, there was seemingly no real reason why they had to be in the "real world" and not the Duckburg world.

The same thing happened, IIRC, with "Goof Troop" (which I could be wrong about; I think I watched one show), and then they had another Huey, Dewey, and Louie show that seemed to have no relation to "Duck Tales", and in which the three nephews were suddenly talking as incomprehensibly as their uncle Donald (which, admittedly, IIRC is the way they originally talked, and was changed for Duck Tales, but in any case it was backsliding).

Some continuity is all I ask. :)

My favorite episodes were the Land of the Golden Suns. It did (almost by necessity) have a Deus ex machina ending.

The battles with Glomgold and the episodes with Gizmoduck had its moments, too. I feel like Fenton somedays, even though I'm not a bean-counter. :o

Man, that was my favorite show as a kid. Though I kind of lost interest when Gizmoduck and Bubba Duck started taking over the show.

"Danger Duck"

I think you're thinking of "Darkwing Duck". :)
I love Ducktales: it's one of my favroite "Feel-Good" shows: as soon as I hear the theme-song, my mood immediately brightens.

So, needless to say, I was psyched when I heard about the DVD release.

Favorite episode of Darkwing Duck was when he was whisked away to Comet Guy's word, where veryone had super-powers. Darkwing was venerated as "Ordinary Guy", the only one in the world who had no powers, so the only one eligible for being rescued by the super heroes. Good times...

Duck Tales and Darkwing Duck were my favorite cartoons of that era, too. They were the two that were most closely tied together, too. Sadly, looking back on them now with an older, more discerning eye, both started out good, then production values plummeted quickly.

I wonder if, 10 years from now, people will write posts about their fond memories of Lilo and Stich and KimPossible...
