Infact, if D&D hadn't been hatched in the early 1970's, I think the concept of the RPG would have appeared within a decade--the social climate in our western societies at the time were quite open (if not openning further) to many interests and pursuits. If it wasn't Gary Gygax et al, certainly someone else would have published an RPG concept. Don't ya think?[tongue firmly in cheek]At least we are doing something with our minds! Gawd knows how often we--and I am confident you folks would agree--see how horribly unimaginative those non-gamers are. One wonders if they even have brains at all. (Ooops, my bad. I really should try to be a bit more forgiving.) While they do have brains they are rarely "switched on" when it counts. But we all knew that anyways... Well one could always convert a few.
