Among so many accomplishments and being at the center of an incredible amount of RPG history just this astonishing bit doesn’t do Lisa Stevens justice.

Being involved with the creation of Magic: The Gathering, the acquisition of TSR, and making some Star Wars games were a few of the highlights from my career there.

Read her whole blog post for all the wonderful people she thanks and all the history she’s made and been a part of. A truly wonderful career! What a long strange trip indeed.

The hobby is better for her involvement, and for her decision to use her poke-cash to start up Paizo.
It is quite an gaming legacy to have been so influential in Vampire the Masquerade, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Dungeon Magazine, Dragon Magazine, the Star Wars RPG and Pathfinder et.al.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but when I saw her picture the first thing I thought was, "She's not old enough to retire!" But she's been in the business longer than my father was in the army before he retired. Good luck, Lisa. I hope you're able to enjoy retirement.
