Listonshire or Red Hand of Doom?

Sorry most of the groups I've been in have homebrew thus they don't use that many modules.
Heh. Same here, actually. Of late though, I've been eyeing off some of the prewrittens in the shops. I hope one day to find an adventure that's actually as good as the ones I and fellow GMs have written.

Aus,

Eh there are some. Just depends on your tastes I think. I know for me, while SC didn't do it for them, 75% of Age of Worms adventures I thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you all!

Though I see a tendency towards DoL, I have not fully decided. Can you point me to some web reviews of the module, please? - I think there is no review at ENW yet. :)

Doom of Listonshire, by Ari "Mouseferatu" Marmell strongly reminds me of Keep on the Borderlands and a couple of other oldie but goodie adventures. Plus it is far more versatile for the DM to adjust to PC actions.

Red Hand of Doom is much longer, and therefore much harder to keep the players on track, but is an excellent module in its own right.

So get both of them if you can, but if I had to choose just one I would go with Listonshire.

I'm just hitting the end of part I of RHoD. Its pretty good so far, but I'm not sure how well I'm going to be able to do the plot...

:) Thanks again! From all I see right now, I think Listonshire will be really an adventure I would want to run. - Especially that is relatively short is a big plus for me.
And since RHoD is said to be such a great adventure, I would prefer not to spoil it for me, but to participate as a PC in it on a later occassion. :)

Red Hand of Doom. Production values are excellent. There are lots of others playing it, so you're sure to get advice if you need it down the road.

With Listonshire, you'd just be taking your chances. You really don't know what you're going to get there....

Anyway, I'd recommend you visit any local bookseller (Barnes and Noble, etc) and more than likely they have a copy of RHoD for your browsing pleasure.

:) In the end, I decided to wait with buying the respective books, until I can check them at my FLGS. Now from all I gathered, I think Listonshire is the slight favourite right now, since it could fit very well into my FFC/Blackmoor-based game.

For the moment, I contented with getting to old modules, CM 1 and CM 2, at ebay. Those will keep my group busy until we finally begin with a new game. :) However, thank you all for your help! It really WAS a help for me while making my decission. *Sighs* If only I had time to play all the modules that I want to. :)
