His engeneering apptitude shined, even building himself an advanced AI drone which he could use to fix normally inaccessible parts of the ship. It was during this time that an accident took his right arm at the shoulder. He spent the months of recovery from the accident constructing a custom prosthetic. The arm intigrated his tools and comm unit.</p><p></p><p>Skitter spent much of his time after the Farabarrium was back online working in the Dry Dock. Working on pirate and smugglers ships Skitter inevitably became friends with some of the outlaws. One of his friends heard of an opportunity. It was a simple job, steal a data cache from someone. The job seemed to go off without a hitch, until they went to make the exchange. Skitters friend was killed and he escaped. He hide and tried to access the data cache and found out it was highly encrypted. He had no idea what was on it or why his friend was killed. He didn't even know who he had stolen from or the name of the buyer. All he knew was he was in danger.
