Hiya guys, EDIT: FIRST OF ALL, SORRY FOR POSTING THIS HERE, BUT IT'S BEEN IN THE TECH FORUM FOR A WHILE AND RECIEVED ZERO INTEREST, NOT ONE REPLY, HOPEFULLY SOMEBODY HERE CAN HELP. Right, I've been banging my head against a brick wall for five days now looking for the right software to do what I want. Hopefully, some of you damn techno-lifesavers out there can help me! Basic rundown is this: I'm looking for a piece of software that can take in simple speech via a mic, and distort it without needing it to be recorded and played back at a later date. I KNOW there is programs out there capable of this, finding them however seems to be beyond me! The main uses of this is for a game of D&D I'm running, starting this Sunday. Very simple, Ogres for instance would have my voice, but distorted into a deep baratone with heavy distortion, for a rough-round-the-edges loud brash effect. Goblins on the other hand, would have my voice in a much higher pitch, and probably sped up slightly. This would fit in perfectly to my game, as I always thought the idea of 99% of creatures speaking one language was a little testing, at least this means they'd all have their own play on "common" as a language, and make things a little more interesting. For anyone that can help point me in the direction, my thanks in advance, I've received pointers and tips from this place in the past, and it is DEFINITLY held in my highest esteem! Thanks guys. -Ben G, England. p.s. remember that it is important that the effects be live, not record & edit, as I'll be conversing with players in real time... cheers guys!
