Emerald Press is looking for writers in search of our Living Nights community-built campaign setting to help draft and design an entire nation...and then rule it.
Living Nights is a community-based project to create an entire campaign setting from the ground up using discussions and polls to determine each phase of the creation process. We are currently entering a tiebreaker for Phase 5: Countries to figure out the number of unique nations to include in our base setting and have just begun discussions for Phase 6: Campaign Theme. While we are always looking for inspirational people to share their ideas with us, we are also looking ahead for those who may wish to put the thoughts of the masses to the screen...and then go a little further.
The final goal of the project is to have a fully detailed campaign setting within two years, currently planned to be printed as a PDF "boxed set." While this may seem extremely early to call out for writers, we want those assigned to these tasks to be involved in the discussions and tallies for each nation as they occur and gain a better understanding of what our community is looking for in a campaign. Our belief is that a world comprised of thousands, if not millions, of characters should have as much input as possible. But we are also looking for those interested to do more than write...but we will only tease you for the moment. A chat will be announced shortly to discuss this new concept in campaign design so pay attention to our boards for upcoming details. We are not looking for those with experience so much as those with heart, talent and imagination (as well as an adherence to deadlines).

For those who wish to complete a Writer's Trial Submission (a 14-page submission that tests your creativity, writing style, and skill with a deadline so that we may best determine the nation that will be right for you), please send an email to the Warden and you will be sent the guidelines.
