I think one issue that we should all be cognizant off is what is occuring on the vote for power source. We have votes for the One Source, and for the Nearly Unlimited Sources, that is a fairly polar thing, and can lead to a lot of hurt feelings and arguements. I would point out that there are some compromises that would take the spirit of both into account, without alienating players that wont either side. Even with one catalyst/event for powers, you'd still be able to have pretty much any actualy power source you wanted. Think of a Powersource, and even with the one catalyst event that allows powers, you can find a reasoning for all powers. As Bront suggested, for magic: A group of wiccans, or an order of mages suddenly find their magic actually works now, the event having done something to them to allow them to tap into real magic Cybernetics: An inventor comes up with working upgrades thanks to a boost to his mental prowess Super-Science: Some things were availible before, but now much more is able to be accomplished due to new techniques, materials, theory, etc Mutates: (ala Daredevil, Spiderman, Sandman, etc) are availible as power sources thanks to the increase of super science. Mutation: Direct result of the event. etc. I think the point I am trying to bring up in such a compromise, is that you can have a lot of diversity with very few if any restrictions while still keeping an overall unified theme together. The reason I personally voted for only one source is because I was worried that the game would be an utter mish mash of disparate ideas that don't really all fit together in any meaningful way, which I thought would have consequences on the playability of the world itself. So long as overall there is a unified theme, almost any power source could be justified.
