The PrC presented below uses some feats from the Wheel of Time RPG, as it presented good mechanics for what I wanted to give to the lizardfolk in my campaign world. Lizardfolk Treesinger Class Level BAB FortSave RefSave WillSave Special Spellcasting level 1st +0 +2 +0 +2 Treesinging +1 divine spellcasting level 2nd +1 +3 +0 +3 Song of Life (Small) – 1/day 3rd +2 +3 +1 +3 Command Plants +1 divine spellcasting level 4th +3 +4 +1 +4 Song of Life (Medium) – 2/day 5th +3 +4 +1 +4 +1 divine spellcasting level 6th +4 +5 +2 +5 Song of Life (Large) – 3/day 7th +5 +5 +2 +5 Tree Warden +1 divine spellcasting level 8th +6 +6 +2 +6 Song of Life – 4/day 9th +6 +6 +3 +6 +1 divine spellcasting level 10th +7 +7 +3 +7 Song of Life (Huge) – 5/day While lizardfolk are primitive, compared to many humanoid races, they have a deep connection to nature, especially to the marches they inhabit. But not all lizardfolk tribes are primitive, and not all of them worship Semuanya. Those who have turned from him and worship nature itself have stumbled upon a secret that enabled them to improve their lot and establish a stable form of civilization. They have learned the secret of singing to trees, coaxing them to shape themselves into objects. At first it was merely to equip their tribes with weapons and armor, but since then they have learned to shape other objects. While many among the lizardfolk have found that they can learn to do it, some of their numbers have learned to do even more impressive things with this ability. It seems that those who also wield divine magic that affects plants can learn greater secrets of treesinging, like making plants obey them, or even gain a semblance of life for a short while. HD: d8 Requirements: Feats: Latent Treesinger, Treesinger (these two feats can be found in the Wheel of Time RPG) Craft (Treesinging): 5 ranks Knowledge (Nature): 8 ranks Special: Ability to cast 3 divine spells that affect plants. (Spells that kill or damage plants do not count towards this limit). Class Skills The following skills are class skills for the treesinger: Concnetration (Con), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Intuit Direction (Wis), Knowledge (Nature) (Int), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Swim (Str), Wilderness Lore (Wis). Skill Points at Each Level: 4 +Int modifier Class Features: Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: The treesinger does not gain new weapon, armor or shield proficiencies. Spells per Day: Every odd treesinger, the character gains new spells per day as if had also gained a level in a divine spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (hit points beyond those he receives from the prestige class, turn/rebuke undead, wild shape, and so on), except for the increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one divine spellcasting class, that fulfills the requirements, before becoming a treesinger she must decide to which class she adds her treesinger spellcasting levels. This choice cannot be changed once made. Treesinging: The treesinger gains a +1 competence bonus to his craft (treesinging) skill at 1st level, and this bonus increases by +1 at levels 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th. Song of Life ( Su): At 2nd level the treesinger has learned enough to be able to sing a special song of power that grants life to a small sized plant. The plant gains the type of construct, and behaves the same as a small animated object. It is under the command of the treesinger, and remains animated for a duration of 2 rounds per level. He can use this ability once per day. Use of this ability is a full-round action, and it draws attacks of opportunity. At 4th level he can use this ability twice per day and he can animate medium-sized plants, at 6th level he can affect large sized plants and can use it three times per day, at 8th level he can use it 4 times per day, and at 10th level he can use it 5 times per day, and can animate a huge size plant. Command Plants: At 3rd level the treesinger can command plants. This ability works just like the cleric’s Turn/Rebuke Undead ability, except that it affects only plants, plant-like creatures, and plants animated by another treesinger. The treesinger can use this ability 3 times per day plus his Charisma modifier and uses it as if he were a priest of his treesinger level. If the character already has the ability to command or turn plants his levels stack, but the ability can only be used to command plants. Tree Warden: At 7th level the treesinger gets the Tree Warden feat for free, if he didn’t have it before.
