Fall TV Preview 2011: Watch Trailers Of All New Shows Charlie’s Angels - remake with a few minor twists. Could be good, although possibly overdeveloped and underscripted. Man Up - three best friends who've lost their manhood... or maybe gained it. Actually seems like it could be quite good. The preview was funny. Revenge - Some rich bitch comes back to get revenge on old friends in the Hamptons. Not my thing, not by a long shot. Rich people hating on each other. Meh. Suburgatory - someone leaves the big city to live in the suburbs. Very meh. Not even going to give it a shot. Last Man Standing - Tim Allen redoes Home Improvement. Wow, this is a carbon-copy of Home Improvement only with daughters instead of sons and not even remotely funny. Pan Am - Follows a bunch of flight attendants in the sixties or something. Umm, no. Once Upon a Time - some bounty-hunter chick comes to a town in the middle of nowhere where fairy tale characters have been banished and lost their memories of who they are. Sounds stupid but the preview makes it seem like it could be quite good. A Gifted Man - Arrogant but gifted doctor (sound familiar?) starts seeing the ghost of his ex-wife and becomes a better person. First impressions are good despite the stupidity of the concept. I'll give it a shot, could be a tear-jerker. Person of Interest - JJ Abrams new action thriller with Jim Caviezel as an ex-spec ops dude given special assignments by a predictive computer. Could be good. Previews look ok. Unforgettable - some chick has an eidetic memory and it helps her solve crimes. Whoop-de-friggin-doo. Very forgettable. 2 Broke Girls - Stupid high concept sitcom about two diner waitresses trying to make it big time. Ugh. Grimm - dude is the last of the "Grimms". All the fairy tales were real. Eh, on the fence about this one. Kinda looks like it's just another supernatural crime solving thriller. Whitney - cutesy unmarried couple sitcom. Double ugh. Free Agents - spin doctor sitcom. Triple ugh. Up All Night - Christina Applegate is too old to be in this. Quadruple ugh. The Playboy Club - 60's style gangster and political drama. Another Mad Men rip-off. Meh. I Hate My Teenage Daughter - two moms that bitch about their daughters to a fake laugh track. What's ugh times five? New Girl - girl breaks up and moves in with three bachelors. Zooey Deschanel. This could be terrible and I'd still watch it. Thankfully, the preview actually makes it seem like it could be half decent. Not fully decent, mind you, but half-way is enough; did I mention Zooey Deschanel? Terra Nova - Spielberg's new big budget sci-fi about people going back in time to recolonise earth. Leaving aside the stupidity of the concept this is just Jurassic Park 85 million years ago. Bleh. Hart of Dixie - Northern Exposure rip-off... in the Deep South. Pass. The Secret Circle - witches diaries instead of vampire ones. Pass.
