The young boatswain of the caravel <em>Maddened Elix</em> helped her escape Kadan as a stowaway; Jesabela only realized that she was among Lakuri pirates when the crew set their red sails and black flag as soon as the harbour was out of sight ...</p><p>When another crew member stumbled over her, matters threatened to become rather uncomfortable, but fortunately she managed to twist the captain around her finger. Slowly she was accepted as part of the crew and remained with them for a few years as they raided the coasts of Durenor, Cloeasia, Vassagonia and the Gulf of Tentarium.</p><p>Eventually, on a treasure hunt along the coast of the Wildlands, she found herself again in a lot of trouble when she stole the treasure map from the captain's cabin. She barely managed to jump ship in Ragadorn and took the first passage she could find. Now she stays at the 'Good Cheer' Inn in Holmgard, armed only with a treasure map that, as she found out too late, lacks some essential parts, and a few gold crowns left in her belt pouch. But maybe there are some relatives of her mother to be found here, whose assistance could be rather valuable ...</p></blockquote><p></p>
