Long boot up time and old software

KnowTheToe

First Post
I am wanting to deactivate several programs that load automatically when I boot up by system. I had entered a command using the run function under the Start Menu that gave me a screen with all of the programs lauched at bootup and I could check the boxes of the software I wanted/did not want to launch on boot up.

Surely someone here knows this simple command. Please come to my ailing computers aid.

No, I think he's talking about a program that compiles a list of all such program from the registry, Startup folder, win.ini, etc. I've seen it but never used it.

He's probably talking about msconfig. It's not as thorough as some third party programs. However, it will list much of what loads at startup.
