The finishes her spectacular attack by sinking her shortsword in the ant's neck, killing it.</p><p></p><p>A number of ranged weapons fire a volley of arrows and bolts at the Queen and her cohorts.</p><p><span style="color: yellow">Nura</span> fires at one of the four ants and hits!</p><p><span style="color: yellow">Saithnar</span> misses the same ant by a hair.</p><p><span style="color: yellow">Quintaine</span> also misses when he fres an arrow at one of the four ants.</p><p><span style="color: yellow">Possum</span> launches a sling bullet and hts the same ant that Nura just wounded, dealing 1 point of damage,</p><p></p><p><span style="color: yellow">Dorrin</span>, <span style="color: yellow">Munchin</span>, <span style="color: yellow">Krindorf</span> and <span style="color: yellow">Jallembo</span> form a front line, ready to strike at any of the ants that come near.</p><p>Meanwhile, Ximix and Landers stand behind that line, ready to heal anybody who might fall.</p><p></p><p>Then the ants come...</p><p>The four ants move forward as if with a single mind and engage the line just formed.</p><p></p><p>First, the readied attacks from the front line come down upon the vermin.</p><p>Dorrin plants his sword through the thick chitin, damaging the already wounded ant badly.</p><p>Munchin can´t find his balance and his kick flies wide.</p><p>Krindorf mananges to plant his blade through the chitin, leaves a big wound.</p><p>Jallembo hit´s the ant, but doesn´t pierce the thick chitin.</p><p></p><p>Then the ants retaliate.</p><p>The first one hits Dorrin. The ant grabs Dorrin with it´s mandibles and attempts to sting him. Dorrin barely manages to avoid the stinger while he is in the ant´s grasp. Dorrin takes 7 damage.</p><p>Munchin evades the attack form the second ant by a hair.</p><p>Krindorf parries the mandibles form the third and, preventing it to damage him.</p><p>The fourth ant can´t manage to hit Jallembo. </p><p>The Queen doesn´t engage... yet.</p></blockquote><p></p>
