Firebolt would be a straight 1d10. If you are looking for an "offensive" caster that also heals... I would suspect that Cleric would actually be a better choice than Bard. The Cleric at least has Sacred Flame as an offensive cantrip, then Guiding Bolt at 1st level. If you go Light Domain you also have Burning Hands at your disposal as well I believe. The other possibility would be if your DM allows options from the Unearthed Arcana articles, because you could then take the Favored Soul build of the Sorcerer. You then have all of the Sorcerer's offensive spell capability, plus the Cure Wounds spell as part of the FS's domain spell feature. As a last piece of "advice"... the one thing I always tell my players is to never bother with a 20-level "build" concept... because once the game starts playing any and all of your ideas go right out the window once you see how your character plays. I have yet to have any of my players feel the desire or need to multiclass, because their characters have transcended the mechanics. The need to squeeze a bit of extra efficiency out of what they do by finding that elusive bit of synergy with a multiclass has gone right out the window. My Bard player plays a Bard and levels him as a bard because... well, he's a bard. That's who he is in-game. So he has no need to worry about changing classes just for some supposed mechanical benefit. Just my 2 cents.
