Greetings! I am a newcomer to the Chattanooga area (Suck Creek, I believe is the name of the area I specifically inhabit), and with the expansive summer ahead of me, I wished to attempt to find a group within the area. My only real preference is that roleplay takes precedence over the mechanics (or at least has a major presence), and a DM that can tolerate my desire/need to play unusual races. (Such as Kobolds, Lizardfolk, or Bugbear unusual, not Yuan-Ti Abomination, Mind Flayer, and Rakshasha unusual, unless the situation warrants it. I know it seems odd to point this out, but I know some DMs are very strict about sticking to the core races.) My schedule is completely free at the moment, but I hope to get a job at some point, so it will be subject to change in the (hopefully) near future. I assume that most are in a similar situation, and from this assumption, I am venturing a guess that most playing takes place during the weekend. I will keep my weekends as free as possible, and on days that I can play, time is not an issue. I do not know the area well, so if any groups are interested in taking a player for their 3.5 game, just know that I have only been a resident for just about a week, so...erm, a thousand pardons if I have no idea how close you are to my area. As far as my level of experience goes, I am very familiar with the system, and have DM'd a full campaign. I have been playing for...seven or so years (not all consecutively, but my interest never waned, only the interest of others.), and would say that I am a fairly advanced player; hopefully that does not come off as sounding arrogant or egotistical. I can play just about any role pretty well (although I detest being the party healer, but at this point I just really want to play.) Well, that was far more loquacious than it probably needed to be. I look forward to any responses from groups in the area that need a player, and thank you all for at least reading this over.
