recently (yesterday to be specific) i helped a friend by running a 11th lvl character in an adventure he is running. He never let me get a good look at the adventure book he was using and I would like to run at least part of it with my group. This is what i remember We were going on the cliche take this scroll to this lord type mission when we(the party) stopped in a small farming village to rest, the DM called it Rhaile or something. We decided to stay at the Burning Kettle Inn where, after a few stiff drinks, several half troll red dragonspawns entered the Inn and cause most of the patrons to leave. Being of good alignment and a bit drunk we decided to kindly ask the spawn to leave using our weapons as persuasion. After some nasty breath weapons and regeneration on the spawns part our sorcerer managed to convince them to leave with a cone of cold turned acid (energy affinity or some such feat im guessing). Later that night the creatures returned to burn the grain silos of the town and retreat to their hide out. We later discovered that the leader of the spawn, Synder (quessing on spelling), had been forcing supplies and money out of the town for some time and that we had basically caused more trouble for the village than we had done good. that is sadly were i had to leave but my DM friend wont share the name of the adventure so was hopping that it was familiar to one of you. from what i did see of the book the cover has a giant red/black dragon egg on it. We played it with 3.5 character but as far is i know he could have been modding a 4.0 adventure Please help, and thank you in advance
