Survivor is a PrC in the Savage Species book, which is one of the PrC's that isn't limited to a "savage race". It can be taken by pretty much anyone that qualifies (according to the flavor text) Requirements: Base Save Bonus: Highest Base save bonus must be lower than character level Special: The part of the survivor requires a concentrated month of study to enter the prestige class. During this month, the character must stay in one place, spend all his waking hours in study, practice, and meditation. HD: a measly d6 Bab- +0 for all 5 levels Good saves: all Special abilities: 1st - Uncanny Dodge (Dex to AC) 2nd- Evasion 3rd - Uncanny Dodge (Can't be flanked) 4th - Improved Evasion 5th - DR 5/- Any pure level 5 character would qualify for this class, but one other class would set you back probably 3 levels, depending on how you gained new levels. It would proabably fit well with a Barbarian, since they already have DR built in, and the d12 HD only helps more. The fighter might help balance out the weaknesses or you can take expertise to raise your ac and just become more of an annoyance. If you simply want a character that has insane AC, you might consider the Bladesinger class with an elf (or drow if possible) Or if you just want to have someone that can defend your friends, you could take Devoted Defender (which is nice because you can choose the person you're concentrating on defending at the beginning of each round) Another option is the Parry feats in one of the Dragon mags. After about 4 feats and Combat Reflexes you can make opposed attack rolls against almost every attack made against you (to the max of your AoO's of course, which should be a considerable amount if dex is one of your main attributes)
