Looking for a module recommendation.

Anyone care to suggest a quality, 3.5 D&D module? Preferrably not one for a 3rd-party setting. Just a standard generic/grayhawk campaign.

Oh, this would be for a 1st-level party, 5-6 characters.

Thanks!

I hope Mark is going to suggest his very own The Whispering Woodwind. Sounds like it fits your need perfectly, and is a great adventure.

I don't think it has been updated for 3.5, but that should be very simple. In fact, you could just not update it at all. The PCs are not likely to know that their opponents are 3.0 classes.

Thanks Joe! :)

Should be all set on the updates. How did your conversion of it go? Care to share some details?

I wonder if any other Whispering Woodwind GMs might be hear abouts to give some of their own experiences... ;)

Open World Press's Hamlet of Thumble is a great module, in the classic sense that it's both an adventure and a little chunk of situation that you can plug into (or use to start) a larger campaign with a town full of personalities, competing forces, etc. - very like the AD&D Village of Hommlet. Plus it's got a setup for either playing the heroic defenders of the hamlet or the evil forces assaulting it!

I'm having fun DMing the Whitehorn series by Ed Cha. The company is currently called The K.F.H. Co. (The Kobold Fried Halfling Company), or KFH for short. Strange how a cooking recipe in a module can inspire a group of players. Anyways, lots of fun, lots of alternate ideas for you to use, or not.

If you're looking for a dungeon crawl-type adventure, then go for one of the following from Goodman Games:

Idylls of the Rat King
Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho

Pinotage

Wizards Amulet/Crucible of Freya - Necromancer games. for 3.0, but easy to convert and as WA is a free download you can check it out before buying.

Alternatively Evil Unearthed from Dungeon #82 is a good 1st level adventure, but is again a 3.0 rules adventure.
