It should also be noted that at the lowest levels, this balance doesn't really exist because you don't have any lower-rank spells, and there aren't many encounters that would be considered low or trivial threat.It would also have been nice if someone had informed adventure writers about this, he said glaring at Extinction Curse and Fists of the Ruby Phoenix where you are expected to deal with a whole level's worth of encounters in a single day on multiple occasions.</blockquote>
