D&D General Looking for an old blog post

I'm looking for an old blog post that's starts with a story about when the author tells ran Tomb of Horrors as a kid, and all the players fell for the Devil's Mouth trap and were pretty bummed by it. IIRC the author also mentions I6 - Ravenloft, and the article was about changing things in modules you're running (I'm not sure, it was a long time ago since I read it).

My memory made me believe it would have some useful tips for my Tomb of Horrors ShadowDark adaptation. Memory is a funny thing.

Poor Reggie the thief who volunteered to enter the dark tunnel first in the Tomb of Horrors. I lost him early and then A cleric and a fighter if I recall.

Today, I would likely have a check or roll damage once you put your pinky finger in the hole and not just say you enter and I'll tell you later what happens... You are dead.

I guess their being 12 explains that. Being so angry however many decades later I find harder to explain.
