Looking for Craft Skills with Item Creation Feats

Hello all, I have seen allusion on this board to the requirement that an item creation feat needs a complementary skill (e.g. craft). However I have not seen any specifics posted in my recollection. Could someone please post or direct me to rules that they have come up with as far as skills required for each type of item creation feat and the pertinant skill rolls? Your help is greatly appreciated.

To my knowledge, by the Core Rules, you don't need to have any skills associated to the Feats. However, my own take on magic item creation (for my Low Magic setting) requires a sympathetic relationship between Caster and Item. By this, the item must be made by the Spell Caster's own hand.

An example:

Scrolls:
Craft Ink (DC 10 + 2x Spell Level)
Craft Paper (DC 10 + 2x Spell Level, only for Spell Level 3 or higher, including metamagic)

I'm still quantifying the rules (follow the link in my sig for current development), but essentially it's common sense. Just consider what is being made and the Craft skills necessary (Craft: Weapon, Craft: Armor, etc.), per the Craft rules.

Jerrid, That is what I was looking for. And that yes the craft skills can be matched up with a feat easily. I am looking for my wizards to physically make the item they are enchanting. But what DC should be used? the same 20 as a masterwork item? I like the 10 +2xspell level. But that only works for scrolls, wand, staffs and rods. What about weapons? Thanks for you input.

Personally, I would keep it as Master Craft per the rules. However, I also would add in special formulae and ingrediants. An example would be for arrows of flameburst to require that the arrowheads be made of the teath of a fire-based creature. This would thus require a skill more associated with ivory than steel or wood (Craft: Ivory Carving?).

Another thing I require is that the spells associated to the crafting must also be memorized during the process and then the energy discharged into the item once per day of crafting (discharge is similar to casting, although there is no effect, no component cost, no experience cost, etc). However, I also use Casting Fatigue rules, so this feature might be considered redundant without that effect.

I'm as yet undecided on a few things (as stated, I'm still working on the system), and there's a lot to work out. Also, such things are set for a specific setting (Aedon) and may be overly exacting in another setting (definately inappropriate for Oerth and Toril, for instance).
