*dusts off the week-old thread* Post-battle report: Dragons won without losses. Yay! Dragon hunters lost, two dead. Survivors cut a deal to keep their equipment and walk off with the bodies - they're planting a "bad lead" report at the local bounty office. The battle itself: Suzy blinded the gold before getting Paralized, and a few rounds later, killed by CdG (she survived the first CdG...). Gold retreated into the hole int he dome (despite still being a fairly good combatant despite the blindness) in a bit of a panic. Archer did very well with the six +1 Bane arrows - dealt about 80 damage over three rounds. 40 to the blind, flying gold, then switched over to the active silver when he noted the CdG attempts, and that everyone else was focusing on the one they could reach. Mad Martin did some nasty, nasty damage after Lucy got into a flanking position to help out on the silver. He did a pretty fair amount before that, too (I went ahead with the +1 Bane Greatsword), but failed a Fort save vs. Paralizing breath, and got CdG'd. After Rick ran out of the good arrows, Suzy and Martin were killed, Rick and Lucy saw they couldn't win (and, due to the nature of the terrain, running was a bad idea), they surrendered. They got out with their lives, their friends' bodies, and all their equipment. Now they just have to tell the bounty office that the cave they though had the dragons had some other nasty critter. Went much better than I expected - I thought at least one player would be rolling up a new character.... Thanks for the help; if they start terrorizing the populace again, they'll be more rangers - Rick did very, very well for not getting scratched.
